Derek Nicholson RHU - President/Employee Benefits Advisor
Derek Nicholson RHU is a well known group insurance advisor on PEI since 1997. Derek found his niche in the insurance industry servicing small and medium sized businesses with their health insurance, Life Insurance and Investment needs early in his career and became an advisor with the Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan in 2001 receiving both Sales and Service Excellence Awards in 2004. In 2023 Derek once again joined the Top Producers in Canada at their bi-annual convention in Banff Alberta.
Derek is married to Beth and has three children Chris, Alex and Katie.
Derek is a regular attendee of events of all chambers of commerce on PEI and is a volunteer with Shelter Box Canada.
Chris Nicholson CD - Employee Benefits/Financial Advisor
Chris joined his father in business full-time in 2011 becoming licensed to sell life insurance in 2013. Chris has also worked in the technology and automotive industries, Since 2000 Chris has also served in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserves in both part-time and some full-time roles. In 2012 Chris was awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal as well as Canadian Forces Decoration. In 2022 Chris Joined the Top 100 Advisors for the Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance Plan for their bi-annual (pandemic delayed) convention in Winnipeg, MB.
Chris is responsible for the day to day operations of Nicholson Group, Chris believes a high level of customer service is the key to the success of their business. From New customer presentations, assisting clients, plan administrators and members with administration, claims and advice Chris is there to help.
Chris is married to Julie and they have two children, Riker and Casey.
